Gibbs softball team took on Goodpasture for the 2A state softball title and the Eagles soared to a 2-0 win. 

Also on the softball field Coalfield’s run at the class A title was cut short by Chattanooga Grace 8-0. Coalfield pitcher Lindsey Fadnek finished her stellar career with 1,925 strikeouts, most in state history.

On the baseball diamond Bearden lost to Arlington 9-3. Arlington pitcher Brady Bramlett, an Ole Miss signee, gave the Bulldogs fits all day.

In soccer, Christian Academy of Knoxville won the 2A state title beating Kingsbury 1-0. Jon Ragland scored the game winning goal for the Warriors.
