Bridgeton’s Nicole Chillari roped a two-run homer and Buena’s Brittany Scott tossed four shutout innings in relief as the National team captured a 7-1 win over the American team at the Charlie Maronski Memorial Senior All-Star softball game in Cherry Hill Sunday night.

Chillari, who batted .344 for the Bulldogs this spring, connected for her homer off Eastern’s Stephanie Vuono. Vuono had guided the Vikings to the Group IV state title earlier this month.

Scott, the two-time Daily Journal Player of the Year, relieved Kingsway’s Kelsey Dominik in the sixth and closed the game out.
