The Lomira/Theresa baseball team was red hot in the second inning of its East Central American Legion game on Wednesday and rode that success to a 9-3 win against Hartford in Brownsville.
L/T scored six runs in the second with Mitch Luedtke delivering the big blow with a two-run triple. Jordan Beck and Mason Sterr also had RBI hits in the inning and Mitch Scharschmidt had a sacrifice fly. Sterr and Dylan Bloch both had two hits in the game for L/T (4-3).
Adam Buerger worked four innings for the win. He scattered four hits and four walks in his time on the mound, but only gave up one run.
L/T plays at Mayville on Tuesday with the game starting at 7 p.m.
