Longtime New Castle basketball coach dies

Former New Castle coach Cecil Tague Jr. died Wednesday.

Tague coached the Trojans for nine years and won 140 games, including five sectionals and two semistate titles. Tague was 84.

He was a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, and his run with the Trojans included two trips to the state finals. He coached Trester Award winner Jerry Lamberson and Mr. Basketball winner Kent Benson.
