Chilton Invitational (Fri.): A sweep of the singles titles carried Lourdes Academy to the title at the eight-team Chilton Invitational on Friday.

All four of the Knights’ singles players won their brackets and none of the group lost a set en route to the titles. Lianna Hawi won at No. 1 singles, followed by Allison Resop, Jenna Janssen and Maddy McDonald.
Sara Weber and Abby Schaefers finished fourth at No. 3 doubles, while Michelle McDonald and Angela Moore were fifth at No. 1 doubles and Liz Glowcheski and Jeanne Dishaw were sixth at No. 2 doubles.
“We are very excited to get an invitational win. Our singles players did a great job taking all first place finishes and our doubles groups are improving each week,” commented Lourdes coach Tim Moore. “I think we are working really hard and look forward to the start of Conference play next week.”
