The Manitowoc Lutheran girls volleyball team went 4-1 at the six-team Oostburg Invitational Tournament on Thursday to earn second place to champion Oostburg.
Lutheran defeated Markesan (25-18, 25-20), Race Park (25-21, 25-18), Racine Lutheran (25-15, 25-24) and Brillion (25-13, 25-15).
The Lancers’ only loss came to the defending Division 3 state champions Oostburg which edged Lutheran by scores of 25-18 and 25-21.
Arianna Neumeyer led Lutheran in kills with 34 while teammate Devon Liermann added 24. Neumeyer also had 10 aces and Jordan Menges added eight of her own to go with her 35 assists. Jenessa Styka was second on the team with 34 assists. Sara Herzog led the team in blocks with 13 and Heidi Moldenhauer had 10. In digs, Lutheran had 41 from Kaitlin Radue and 23 from Taylor Sheahan.
