The Manitowoc Lutheran football team defeated host Howards Grove on Friday 40-20, ending the game with a 20-point fourth quarter.

Eric Habermann scored twice for the Lancers in the second quarter on touchdown runs of 38 and eight yards after Howards Grove took the lead on a 61-yard pass.

Habermann would finish the game with 88 yards on the ground on 10 carries while teammate Peter Menges had a game-high 22 carries for 123 yards.

Sturgeon Bay built a 27-0 halftime lead and improved to 5-3 on the season, while Michicot dropped to 2-6.

Mishicot allowed 413 yards but was able to pick up 171 rushing yards on 53 attempts. The Indians only had 14 yards of passing in the game.

The Raiders jumped out to a 21-0 lead at halftime and never looked back en route to the home win.

Kiel’s Aaron Field scored four touchdowns on the night, including runs of five, four and 51-yards and an 81-yard kick return.

Kiel had 16 first downs in the game while holding New Holstein to just seven. The Raiders also had 3737 yards of total offense while giving up just 195.

The Raiders and Huskies each had issues holding onto the football, as Kiel had five fumbles and one lost while New Holstein also had one lost on four fumbles.
