In its second game of pool play in the Central Wisconsin Classic in Plover, the Manitowoc Legion baseball team fell to Sun Prairie 6-0.

Sun Prairie scored all six of its runs in the first inning and Manitowoc was held to just two hits in the game as Logan Koss was 1-for-2 and Nick Spurney was 1-for-3.

Jordan Witczak started and took the complete-game loss, allowing six earned runs on seven hits and five walks with a pair of strikeouts.

Manitowoc (8-14) will play Janesville today.

Madison scored eight runs in the first inning to hand Manitowoc a loss in its opening game of pool play in the Central Wisconsin Classic in Plover.

Madison had 11 total hits in the game while Manitowoc was held to three while it committed two errors.

Michael Longmeyer and Cole Wimmer were each 1-for-2 to lead Manitowoc while teammate Brady Ferry was 1-for-3.

Brennan Mrotek started and took the loss, throwing three innings and allowing 10 runs, seven earned, on nine hits and six walks with a pair of strikeouts. Travis DuPont and Logan Koss each pitched an inning of relief, with DuPont allowing no runs on one hit and two walks with a strikeout while Koss allowed no runs on one hit and one walk with no strikeouts.
