With the game tied 6-6 entering the top of the seventh inning, the Manitowoc Legion baseball team allowed visiting Pulaski to score a run and could not answer in the bottom half of the inning in the 7-6 loss on Monday.

It was a back-and-forth affair all game, as Manitowoc tacked on two runs each in the first, fourth and fifth innings while Pulaski scored one run in the first, three runs in the third and another pair in the fifth to tie the game up at 6-6.

Manitowoc led off the seventh with a double by Brennan Mrotek and he advanced to third as Peter Menges reached first on an infield error. However, the next three Manitowoc batters would hit ground outs to the left field side, with Mrotek being tagged for the second out an a scoring attempt.

Manitowoc tallied four hits in the game and stranded 10 runners on base. Michael Longmeyer was 2-for-2 while Mrotek was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Jordan Witczak started and pitched four innings, allowing six runs, four earned, on six hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Alex Shimon pitched three innings of relief for the loss, allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk with one strikeout.

Manitowoc committed four errors in the game.
