The Manitowoc Legion baseball team scored all 10 of its runs in the final five innings to defeat Kewaunee County 10-1 at home on Friday.
Manitowoc had nine hits in the game with two runs being scored in the second, three in the third, four in the fourth and one in the sixth. Kewaunee County committed two errors in the game.
Brennan Mrotek started and pitched 5 1/3 innings for the winning, allowing just one earned run in the sixth inning. Mrotek allowed one hit — an infield single — and five walks while striking out three. Travis DuPont pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief for Manitowoc, allowing no hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
Offensively, Manitowoc was led by Michael Longmeyer who was 2-for-4 with a double. Also for Manitowoc (7-10), Nick Spurney went 1-for-3 with a triple and three RBI while DuPont was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI.
