The Mercer men’s basketball team hosted its annual team camp at the University Center. Teams from all over Georgia packed into the gym to face some tough competition.
“During the season they’re locked in to playing in their regions and specific folks they play every year,” said head coach Bob Hoffman. “This way they are able to go out and play different levels of competition, GISA and GHSA, and see where they stake up.”
Coaches and their teams play three games each day.
“It gives them a chance to see where they are and what they could become, ” explained Hoffman.
With all that talent in the gym, the Bears coaching staff can scout recruits without having to leave campus.
