Middle Tennessee Christian School dropped its District 9-A opener to Cascade on Friday night, falling 32-7 to the Chaampions.

The Cougars fell to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in league play, while Cascade upped its record to 3-0 and 1-0.

MTCS quarterback Brent Hofbauer threw for 102 yards and rushed for 14, while Tanner Green gained 26 yards and scored the Cougars’ lone touchdown.

Austin Melton and Justin Wynn each had three receptions for MTCS, while Braden Melton led the Cougars on defense with nine tackles.

Cascade led 26-0 at halftime.
