John Glenn’s wrestling team scored 337 points to win the team title Saturday at the Warren Burt Builders Invitational.
West Muskingum was fourth (164) and New Lexington came in seventh (48).
Tristan James (106), Ben Van Wey (132), Dylon Graham (138), Tim Neptune (160), Stone Morgan (182), Matt Tom (195) and Luke Larson (220) won their weight classes for John Glenn. Derek Bennett (126) and Tanner Morton (170) were second, Matt Bennett (145), Joe Echelberry (195) and Austin Husk (Hwt.) placed third, and Dillon Holland (132), Tyler McGee (152) and Will Dawson (285) came in fourth.
Quinton Bishop (113), Anthony Gillespie (152) and Grant Pumphrey (160) finished second and James Lucas (126) and Kaden Bugglin (132) were third for West Muskingum.
Tyler Tolliver (285) took second and Trent Sherrill (182) came third to lead New Lex’s B team.
* New Lexington third at Hary Steel Classic: At London, the Panthers went 3-2 to place third in the Harry Steel Classic dual tournament.
The Panthers topped West Jefferson (42-30), London (59-15) and Independence (54-12), losing to Circleville (36-34) and Hilliard Davidson (60-17).
Finishing the tournament with 5-0 records were Chris Settles (113), Jerald Spohn (170) and Joe Pacino (182), and 4-1 marks were posted by Dylan Wright (152) and Ryan Lewis (285). The Panthers also had 3-2 records from T.J. Newsome (106), Jordan Harris (138) and Nick Tolliver (160).
