Oshkosh West trio lands on all-FVA first team

Oshkosh West landed its top three runners from its state qualifying squad on the all-Fox Valley Association first team it was released recently.

Junior Brian McKnight and sophomores Jacob Rost and Mitchell Beck earned spots on the 10-member first team based on their finishes at the FVA Meet at Countryside Golf Course in October.

Junior Logan Polfuss earned second team honors, while Sean Jirschele garnered honorable mention.

Oshkosh North junior Riley Huffman just missed a spot on the top squad and earned second-team honors. He was the only Spartan to earn a spot on the all-conference list.

Kimberly senior Alex Rink earned conference Runner of the Year honors.

Trailways

Valley Christian’s Luke Geffers earned Runner of the Year honors in the Trailways Conference by winning the conference meet in October.

Geffers was joined on the first team by Lourdes Academy’s Lukas Weber, who placed second at the meet.

Cody Casper of Lourdes earned second-team honors.

State qualifier Sam Engel of Winneconne was the lone area representative on the seven-member all-Eastern Valley Conference first team.

Teammate Luke Kubasta earned third-team honors as did Ben Reilly and Evan Long of Ripon.
