OU-Z men open with wins


The Ohio University-Zanesville men’s basketball team picked up a pair of wins this past weekend.

The Tracers opened the season with a 95-78 win against Kent State-Tuscarawas on Thursday. Jordan Wilson led the way in that game with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Winston Turner and Jeramie Neff each added 19 points and six steals, Nate Stewart tallied 14 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Wilson netted 14 points.

Wilson poured in 36 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Tracers topped Washington State Community College, 88-84, on Friday. Neff chipped in 21 points and eight rebounds, and Turner scored 15.
