Tanner Owens, a rising ninth grader at Blackman High School, fired a final round 69 Tuesday to win the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour’s Old Fort Classic. It marked Owens’ second win in as many SJGT events this summer.

Owens, 14, overcame a five stroke deficit to win by one stroke over Knoxville’s Mark Dalton to take the 14-15 year old division at Old Fort Golf Course (6,700 yards, par 72).

John Augenstein of Owensboro, Ky., placed third. Owens had a 36-hole total of 145.
