Dan Padgett had three assists and Tulani Hove added two goals to lead the Highland Park High School boys soccer team past John F. Kennedy 5-1 on Wednesday.

John Marin, Daniel Zendjas and Jon Baay also scored for the Owls, who improved to 7-5.

Johnny Evangelou got John F. Kennedy on the board midway through the second half.

Timothy Christian 9, Cardinal McCarrick 2: Albert Cho and Zach Coyle scored two goals apiece and David Figueroa added a goal and two assists as the Tigers improved to 9-0-1. For Cardinal McCarrick (0-8), Chris Gomes and Sean Park scored.

Middlesex Academy 4, Woodbridge Academy 0: Ruky Rupainghe and Matt Persing each had a goal and an assist for Middlesex Academy (5-2-2).

East Brunswick Tech 3, South Amboy 1: Alejandro Fernandez, David Maratch and Elmer Olivera scored for East Brunswick Tech, while Eric Vergara scored for South Amboy.

Carteret 1, Bishop Ahr 0: Daniel Rojas scored the game’s lone goal and Carteret had a 19-4 edge in shots. For Bishop Ahr, keeper Scott Licari made 11 saves.

Edison 2, Colonia 0: Mused Mohamed and Ali Mohamed scored first-half goals, both assisted by Mohamed Mohamed, to lift Edison (8-3-1). For Colonia (3-7-1), keeper Ryan Litterer made 12 saves.

Perth Amboy Tech 5, Piscataway Tech 0: Gonzalo Bazan tallied two goals and an assist and Nilsoon Siguenza added two goals as Perth Amboy Tech rolled. For Piscataway Tech, keeper Josh Trapp made 14 saves.

Spotswood 4, Metuchen 0: Hunter Padilla scored two goals and Ryan McLaughlin dished out two assists as Spotswood improved to 9-3. Andrew Pelham made five saves to record his fifth shutout of the season. Metuchen , which got outshot 12-6, fell to 8-3.

Girls Soccer

Timothy Christian 2, Cardinal McCarrick 2: Sabrina Solorzano and Danielle Maniguet scored and keeper Danah Lassiter made 20 saves for Timothy Christian (5-3-1), while Madison McNally and Megan Kosa found the net for McCarrick (4-4-1).

Wardlaw-Hartridge 4, John F. Kennedy 1: Mairead Forrest scored two goals and Neema Liverpool and Ciara Varley also found the net for Wardlaw (11-0). For Kennedy (2-10), Justine Hernandez had the goal.

Metuchen 3, Spotswood 0: Emily Corson, Gabby Cyran and Devon Philbin scored goals as the Bulldogs improved to 10-0-1. For Spotswood (6-5), keeper Emma Curci made 14 saves.

Field Hockey

Piscataway 1, Sayreville 0: Lateefat Olawore broke the scoreless deadlock in for the Chiefs in the second half, getting an assist from Rachel Barany. Goalkeeper Hannah Isaacs made 12 saves for Piscataway (2-10).

South Plainfield 2, Monroe 0: Holly DeLair scored two second-half goals as the Tigers improved to 12-0.

East Brunswick 2, South Brunswick 1: Korrine Smith and Rachel Huang posted the goals for East Brunswick (9-2). Carly Siokhd got South Brunswick (7-4) on the board.
