Separation finally came to the Skyland Conference Delaware Division in boys soccer on Monday as the Pingry School, No. 2 in the Courier News Top 10, shut out No. 3 Hunterdon Central 2-0 at Bugliari 52′ World Cup Field in Martinsville.

While Hunterdon Central seemed to possess well in the first 20 minutes of the match, Pingry quickly got up to speed and scored in the 46th minute. Senior Christian Fechter got the assist and Yale-bound Cameron Kirzdik put one on the board for the Big Blue (5-0-1, 4-0-1 Skyland Delaware).

In the second half, when a foul was called in the favor of Big Blue just a few yards out from the penalty box, Fechter’s service landed dead on the far post, which then spun into the back of the net in the 75th minute. Hunterdon Central fell to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the division.

BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN 2, GILL ST. BERNARD’S 1: Josh Rich scored two goals while Kevin Horan and Pat Masur had one assist each to lift Bridgewater-Raritan (4-3) which trailed trailed 1-0 at halftime. Bijan Eizadkhah scored his ninth goal of the season for Gill St. Bernard’s (6-1-1).

FRANKLIN 3, IMMACULATA 0: Lucas Dunn, Ryan Kaplan and Chris Stevens scored one goal apiece to power Franklin in a Skyland Conference cross-division contest. Reese Buchanan needed only four saves to record the shutout for the Warriors (2-4). Kevin Montague and Ryan Papp stopped eight shots each for Immaculata (2-3).

NORTH HUNTERDON 1, VOORHEES 0: Andrew Ottinger scored the only goal of the match to spark North Hunterdon (2-4-1). Jack Teets made seven saves for Voorhees (3-4-1).

MANVILLE 3, SOMERSET TECH 1: Jurgen Espinoza, Jair Maillard and Marcial Valverde scored one goal each for Manville. Steven Bogantes made 12 saves for the Mustangs (4-2). Chris Geissler made eight saves for Somerset Tech (0-4).

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY (Pa) 3, SOUTH HUNTERDON 2: Zach Mastrich had one goal and one assist, Dario Sabidussi scored one goal and Jonathan Wendebron made 12 saves for South Hunterdon (2-5), which trailed 1-0 at halftime.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD 2, RIDGE 1: Erick Rodriquez scored a pair of goals and Josue Cevallos and Taylor Born each notched one assist to propel South Plainfield (3-2-3). Patrick Boyle made 9 saves for the Tigers. Danieli Colbertaldo scored a goal for Ridge.

PLAINFIELD 2, NEW PROVIDENCE 0: Oliver Korngor scored a pair of second-half goals to power Plainfield (2-1-2). New Providence fell to 0-5-2.

GOVERNOR LIVINGSTON 2, DAYTON 1: Julian Light notched two goals and Anthony Olivera and Dylan Weitz added one assist apiece to lift Governor Livingston (6-2).

WESTFIELD 3, CRANFORD 0: Matt Williams scored a pair of goals and Benjamin Fine added another to help Westfield (4-2-2). Daniel LaCorte made 12 saves for the Blue Devils in the shutout.

TIMOTHY CHRISTIAN 2, SOUTH AMBOY 1: Zach Coyle and Won Joon Kim scored goal and Evan Waldron made eight saves for Timothy Christian (6-0-1).

MIDDLESEX 3, CARTERET 2 (OT): Geo Barbozza scored twice and Joe Karom added another goal for Middlesex (3-4).

ROSELLE CATHOLIC 1, UNION CATHOLIC 0: Michael Gonzalez made five saves for Union Catholic (2-3-1).

Girls soccer

PISCATAWAY 1, RIDGE 0: Sophomore Kelsey Nugent scored just under five minutes into the second half off a pass from Daija Griffin and fourth-ranked Piscataway held on to improve to 7-0-1. Senior Kristyn Shea made 11 saves for the Chiefs, while Rachel Axt stopped 10 shots for sixth-ranked Ridge (5-2-2).

PINGRY 1, HUNTERDON CENTRAL 0: Alexis Chang scored a second-half goal off a corner kick and Danielle Sedillo made three saves to earn her third shutout to lift third-ranked Pingry (4-2). Paige Dillard made nine saves for unranked Hunterdon Central (4-3).

MANVILLE 2, SOMERSET TECH 1 (OT): Estrella Diaz scored off a Shea Raver pass 1:37 into overtime to lift Manville. The Mustangs (2-3) got a goal from Rachel Janes 5:00 into the second half that tied it, after Julia Heller scored an unassisted goal in the 20thminute that gave Somerset Tech (1-4) a lead at halftime.

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD 3, KEARNY 0: Annie Canone, Olivia Mendes and Jessie Klein struck for top-ranked Scotch Plains-Fanwood (8-0). Taylor Sebolao posted seven saves for her sixth shutout.

GOVERNOR LIVINGSTON 2, SUMMIT 0: Julia Stirpe scored in the 48th minute and Georgia Pardales added a goal with two minutes left as Governor Livingston improved to 6-2. Casey Krause made two saves for the shutout.

FRANKLIN 2, IMMACLATA 0: Taylor Packwood netted two goals and Veronica Acevedo made four saves as Franklin (3-3) posted a shutout. The Spartans fell to 1-3-2.

NORTH HUNTERDON 3, VOORHEES 1: Cecilia Luciano, Alex Haris and Katherine Campbell each scored goals as 10th-ranked North Hunterdon improved to 3-2. Madison Gavornik scored a goal for Voorhees (1-6).

BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN 6, MOUNT ST. MARY 0: Rachel Truska tallied two goals and an assist and Brianna Petro added a goal and an assist to lead fifth-ranked Bridgewater-Raritan (4-2-1). Emily Braumley made four saves for Mount St. Mary (2-2-2).

NEW PROVIDENCE 4, UNION 1: Erin Fay tallied two goals and an assist, and Megan Mahlstadt and Lisa Caprara added scores to boost New Providence (3-5).

GILL ST. BERNARD’S 5, RUTGERS PREP 1: Kathryn Bednarsky scored two goals and Amanda Greenberg added a goal and an assist to lead Gill St. Bernard’s (3-2-1). Lauren Davis scored an unassisted goal 2:30 into the contest for Rutgers Prep (1-4).

4, SOUTH PLAINFIELD 2: Adriana Solano, Emily Lockwood, Emily Millar and Colleen Murphy all scored goals to power ninth-ranked Somerville (5-1). Carlee Gonzalez struck for the Tigers (1-6-1).

DUNELLEN 4, SOUTH RIVER 0: Freshman Jackie Von Itter scored two goals and Adaobi Ojinakka added goal and an assist to lead Dunellen (1-3) to its first victory. Kerry Johnson stopped three shots for the Destroyers.

TIMOTHY CHRISTIAN 7, SOUTH AMBOY 3: Sabrina Solorzano posted a hat trick and Danielle Maniguet scored twice to power Timothy Christian (4-2).

WARDLAW-HARTRIDGE 2, J.F. KENNEDY 0: Taylor Gerhart and Valentina Margiotello scored goals and Lacey Gress made fives saves as Wardlaw-Hartridge improved to 7-0.

CARTERET 6, MIDDLESEX 1: Emily Walther scored for Middlesex (1-6).

BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN 5, PINGRY 0: Rachel Yaney scored two goals and Lindsay Alvarez and Catherine Caro each tallied a goal and an assist to power Bridgewater-Raritan (7-0). Stephanie Yea made 11 saves for Pingry (5-1).

WATCHUNG HILLS 3, SOMERVILLE 1: Julia Privolos scored two goals and Erin Schwartzstein added a goal and an assist for Watchung Hills (2-3). Amy Cavagnaro struck for Somerville (2-7).

HUNTERDON CENTRAL 2, PHILLIPSBURG 0: Ally Baligian and Taylor Barrett each scored a goal for Hunterdon Central (5-3). Fran Orella made nine saves for the Red Devils.
