Oostburg’s baseball team got out to an early lead and never looked back, cruising to an 8-1 Central Lakeshore Conference win over Cedar Grove-Belgium Wednesday night.
The Flying Dutchmen scored four runs in both the third and sixth innings, giving winning pitcher Mitch Haag all the support he needed.
Haag struck out four and walked four in a complete-game effort.
Spencer Bares took the loss for the Rockets, allowing eight runs in six innings of work.

The Resorters jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but the Crusaders came roaring back with a five-run fourth inning en route to the come-from-behind CLC win.
Nate Tures got the win in relief, pitching 5.1 innings of scoreless ball with nine strikeouts.
For the Crusaders offensively, Peter Nebel, Noah Fink and Phil Case each had three hits while Tures and Nebel each scored three runs.
For Elkhart, Kyle Rentmeester finished 2-for-3 at the plate.
Howards Grove 8,Ozaukee 3
The Tigers never trailed and Noah Steines collected the complete-game, five-hit win.
Steines, who notched three strikeouts in seven innings on the mound, added some potent offense, going 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored.
Austin Edge had a double and an RBI in a 2-for-3 performance. Brandyn Hurtienne went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, and Christian Meiselwitz was 2-for-3 with a run.
Pat Kroening was the only Ozaukee batsman with multiple hits. He finished 2-for-4 and scored a Warriors run.
Howards exploded for four runs in the second inning, and added two more each in the fourth and fifth.
Ozaukee scored two in the third and one in the sixth.
