Jake Klemme pitched a complete-game gem for the Plymouth baseball team in its 6-0 home win over New Holstein on Friday.
Klemme allowed just two hits and one walk, and struck out seven. He also went 1-for-2 with a run, RBI and two stolen bases.
Tyler Willeford went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI and Clay Henning added two hits for the Panthers (13-3, 8-2 Eastern Wisconsin Conference).
Ross Klapperich and Brady Schmitz had hits for New Holstein (4-12, 3-9). Klapperich took the loss.
Sheb. Falls 15, Kiel 2 (5)
Cole Heili, Zach Van Engen and Jake Meyer each had three hits, part of an 18-hit outburst by the Falcons in the EWC win.
Ryan Halverson gets the complete-game win for Falls (14-2, 9-2 EWC), allowing three hits. Bobby Musil and Nate Heili had two hits each.
Oostburg 7, Elkhart Lake 6
The Flying Dutchmen kept their lead in the Central Lakeshore Conference by edging out the Resorters.
Derrick Boldt got the win for Oostburg. He allowed six hits and had eight strikeouts. Boldt also went 2-for-4 to lead the offense, while Justin Daane and Grant Meerdink added one hit each for the Dutchmen (8-3 CLC).
Taylor Kaboord went 2-for-3 and Kyle Rentmeester took the loss, allowing eight hits for Elkhart Lake (5-6 CLC).
Howards Grove 11, Random Lake 1 (5)
Ashton Holzman went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored and Ethan Brinkman went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI as the Tigers cruised in Random Lake.
Brandyn Hurtienne got the win. He struck out seven, walked five and allowed just two hits and one unearned run.
Jordan Wittman had two hits, run and RBI for Howards (7-4 CLC).
Reed Anklam took the loss in 3.1 innings of work, allowing nine runs on seven hits for Random (0-10 CLC).
