KEENAN REBERA

Lansing Catholic sophomore

Lots of top finishes: Rebera has won the Michigan Catholic Invitational, Ovid-Elsie Invitational and both CAAC White jamborees in addition to Saturday’s green division race of the Carson City-Crystal Don Baese Invitational. He also finished second at the Bath Invitational Class 2 race, second in the Grand Rapids Catholic Cougar-Falcon Invitational and eighth in Michigan State’s Spartan Invitational elite division race. He earned all-state in both cross country and track in 2011-12.

From coach Tim Simpson: “He is very driven both in running and school and will do whatever it takes to get better. He is already the best cross country runner we have ever had. People underestimate him sometimes because he is small, but he has a great kick and is tenacious on the course yet very friendly and funny off the course. Keenan is a great teammate and leader considering he is only a sophomore. He is also an excellent musician and plays the violin.”
