The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association released its All-Region teams on Monday, with Two Rivers’ Brett Kasper and Dexter Smith making the list along with Manitowoc Lincoln’s Austin Bown.
Kasper and Smith were named to the All-East Central team at quarterback and wide receiver, respectively. Bown, meanwhile, was named an All-North East defensive end.
The Raiders offense put up historic numbers with Kasper at the helm, throwing the third most passing yards in the state with 2,579 to go along with 28 touchdowns.
Smith has been the beneficiary of a great majority of those yards, hauling in 68 passes for 1,113 yards and 14 touchdowns. Those numbers rank third, fourth and third in the state, respectively.
Both players would go on to be named first-team All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference selections while leading Two Rivers to its first playoff victory since 1982.
Bown being a unanimous first-team All Fox River Classic Conference selection at defensive end as well as being named the Defensive Lineman of the Year in the FRCC.
Of the three players, only Smith will be returning next season as both Kasper and Bown are set to graduate at the end of the year.
