For a half, it looked as though Sheboygan North was set to pick up back-to-back wins in the Fox River Classic Conference.
A week after beating Green Bay East 35-21, the Golden Raiders led Ashwaubenon 7-3 at the break on the road Friday.
North, however, couldn’t hold the lead as the Jaguars rallied for a 27-7 win.
Tyler Van Calligan put North (1-6, 1-6) on the board in the first quarter with a 2-yard touchdown run. The score would stay 7-0 until Ashwaubenon’s Evan Carpenter made a 43-yard field goal in the second quarter.
A James Morgan 3-yard touchdown run gave the Jaguars (3-4, 3-4) their first lead of the game and then Morgan found Kyle Monroe for a 73-yard TD pass to stretch the lead to 10.
North quarterback Jacob Schmidt finished 10-of-24 for 161 yards and Weston Nelson had 134 yards receiving. Danny Wild had 38 yards on the ground.
For Ashwaubenon, Morgan finished 12-of-19 for 237 yards and a score.
North hosts cross-town rival Sheboygan South next Friday to end the regular season. South beat North 21-3 a year ago.
