MONROE — Hayden Hildebrand passed for three touchdowns as Airline defeated Richwood 41-14 Friday night at Richwood.
Hildebrand hit Chris Stinnett, Trey Turner and Laterious Pouncy for scoring tosses in the first half as the Vikings (2-0) built a 21-6 lead at the break.
Airline got second-half touchdowns from Logan Williams, Michael Nunnery and Roderick Spurlock in posting the non-district win.
Northwood 35, North Webster 33: The Falcons rallied from a 20-point halftime deficit to improve to 2-0.
Falcons quarterback Jerrick Peterson tossed three touchdown passes, the last a 5-yarder to Trey Walker to put Northwood up 35-27.
North Webster scored and went for the 2-point conversion and the tie, but Raysean Brooks intercepted the conversion try to seal the Northwood win.
Homer 22, BTW 14: At Homer, Darien Dunn ran for 116 yards and a touchdown and the Pelicans held off the visiting Lions to improve to 2-0.
Dunn’s fourth-quarter touchdown came from 31 yards out and proved to be the difference as BTW quarterback Marquis Musco scored from 1 yard out to cut the Pels’ lead to eight.
Oberlin 46, North Caddo 41: At Vivian, the Rebels fell short of picking up their first win on the season to the visiting Tigers.
Oberlin (1-1) rolled up 413 yards rushing and nearly had 500 total yards.
Rebels quarterback Jontavion Brooks threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns, but the Rebels (0-2) lost the turnover battle 2-1.
West Ouachita 33, Minden 6: At West Monroe, the Chiefs limited the Crimson Tide to 30 yards offense to hand Minden its second sraight loss.
Minden’s only points of the game came on a Carson Bolyer 37-yard interception return touchdown.
St. Mary’s 35, Jeanerette 14: At Jeanerette, the Tigers won their second straight game on the backs of running backs Hunter Bedgood and Garrett Viene.
Bedgood scored three total touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) while Vienne added two more.
“We probably ran the ball for 300 yards,” St. Mary’s coach Charlie Cryer said.
Cedar Creek 34, Jonesboro-Hodge 6: At Hodge, the Cougars got an 87-yard kick return touchdown from Donald Jenkins to start the game and rolled past the Tigers.
Mark Vandenlangenberg ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns for Cedar Creek (2-0), which also got 100 yards rushing and a touchdown from Shiloh Perry.
Bastrop 45, Ruston 30: At Ruston, quarterback C.J. Gatlin had a gutsy performance after spraining his ankle this past week, but Bastrop physically wore down the Bearcats.
Rams’ quarterback Jaetarius Davis ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Rams reached the 45-point mark for the second straight week.
Bastrop’s rushing game eventually took over as Kevin Heard scored three times and Antwone Green added a 68-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Natchitoches Central 19, DeRidder 9: At Natchitoches, the Chiefs evened their record at 1-1, bouncing back from Saturday’s loss to Calvary to defeat the Dragons.
