EMMA FROST

LANSING CATHOLIC senior

Six straight: Frost won all three CAAC White jamborees for a second consecutive year while helping Lansing Catholic earn its first girls league title since 2000. Since Megan Heeder won all three in 2010, a Cougar has won nine straight jamborees. Frost has the second-fastest time in school history to Heeder and has earned all-state honors twice in cross country.

From coach Tim Simpson: “She had a nagging calf injury early in the season but she worked through it and is now is great shape. Emma has always been an extremely hard worker and, as the years have gone on, more and more of the runners in our program have followed her lead. Emma has been a great leader by example, and has a very positive attitude. She is always very enthusiastic and loves to race and practice hard. This is something that has rubbed off on her teammates. She has also been supportive of the younger runners and helped many of them become more confident runners. Emma is an outstanding student and an accomplished singer. She represents all that we want our running program to be.”
