Three years ago, Lansing Eastern, Everett and Sexton combined their swimming and diving teams to become more competitive.
The Lansing Legacy squad coached by Nathaniel Burchfield and Bryan Scott earned its first win since the merger two weeks ago against Waverly/Lansing Catholic.
Lansing will try to move up even further in the league standings with a higher finish in the CAAC Red meet, which will be held at Mason. Prelims start at 6 p.m. on Friday, and finals at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Junior Kirsten Climer took second in the 50 freestyle a year ago for Eastern/Sexton/Everett.
