Catholic won its first District 1-3A game of the season Friday night defeating visiting Marianna 47-46 in overtime.

Quan Moorer led the Crusaders (6-4; 1-0) with 15 points, 16 rebounds, six blocks, and three steals.

Brad Hartnett added 13 points and seven rebounds for Catholic.

Catholic has the week off until traveling to Walton next Friday.

Central standouts Nick Waters and Zac Wright combined for 48 points Friday night at Rocky Bayou as the Jaguars beat the Knights 70-47.

Trent Hershberger scored a game-high nine points, and Austin Jackson and Jeremy Carlson scored eight points each as the Warriors earned a win on the road.

Nine different PCA players scored in the victory.

Devin Wilson scored 14 points, doled out five assists and made five steals as the Pensacola State College basketball team cruised past Baton Rouge Community College 82-72 in the Pensacola State Christmas Classic.

The Pirates (12-3) led by as many as 22 points during the first half before resting starters and playing substitutes for much of the second.

Denzel Richardson scored a team-high 19 points, and Qiydar Davis added 18.

PSC continues tournament play today against Delgado Community College.
