GIRLS BASKETBALL

New Castle edged Wapahani 48-44. Hanna Rose led the Raiders with 14 points. Kambrey Jolley (12 points) and Lindi Thomas (10 points) also cracked double figures for Wapahani.

Shenandoah will be honoring its 2003 Class 2A State Championship team at its game on Wednesday against Alexandria. A reception will begin at 6 p.m. during the junior varsity game, and the squad will be honored at approximately 7 p.m. prior to the varsity game.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Heritage Hall picked up a 58-25 win over Indiana Christian Academy. Garrett Prewitt hit four 3-pointers en route to a 28-point night for the Patriots. Grant Prewitt had a team-leading eight rebounds.

Central will honor its 1988 state championship team during a ceremony at halftime of its game on Jan. 5 against Hamilton Southeastern. The Bearcats will honor their 1963 state championship team at halftime of their Jan. 12 game against Noblesville.
