Central won a triangular against Southside and Shenandoah. The Bearcats shot a 208, the Rebels a 219 and the Raiders a 249. Southside’s Keely Townsend shot a 46 to win the individual medal. Kylie Leonard led Central with a 51, and Briana Moore shot a 49 to lead Shenandoah.
Delta shot a 170 to win a triangular against Eastbrook (201) and Elwood (213). Jami Parsons shot a 37 to lead Delta and earn individual medalist honors. Rachel Russell shot a 41 for the Eagles.
Yorktown defeated Monroe Central 155-250. The Tigers’ Kennedy Windlan was the individual medalist, shooting a two-under-par 34. Tara Clark shot a 36. Ashley Stevens led Monroe Central with a 57.
Wes-Del shot a 216 to finish third in a triangular with Hamilton Heights (190) and Tipton (195.) Melanie Whitesel led the Warriors with a 45.
Central swept Shenandoah. Andrew Fox conceded just one game in his first singles match.
No. 18 Delta fell to No. 25 Northeastern 3-2. The Eagles’ Evan Rodenberger and Nick Wilson won at first doubles, and Jay Robillard and Collin Mercer won at No. 2 doubles.
Southside picked up its first win of the season a 4-1 victory over Union City. Elisha North, Jasper Jameson, Austin Durke and Dalton Evans each won matches for the Rebels, while Caleb Wilkins and Joe Stanley won a match by default.
Yorktown edged Burris 3-2. The Tigers’ Ian Landwehr won the first singles match. Kevin Joe and Jameson King won at first doubles for Burris.
Central beat Westfield 18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 16-14. Jaydn’ Pegues had 29 kills and 21 digs for the Bearcats. Jessica Helms had 29 digs.
Yorktown swept Rushville 25-9, 25-7, 25-10. Taylor Zwickl had 35 assists and 12 digs for the Tigers. Nikki Box had 10 kills, six aces and seven digs.
Wapahani beat Union City 11-0. A.J. Zeiger had four goals and two assists, while Brandon Williams had three goals and three assists.
Southside lost 4-2 to Blackford on Tuesday. Tryse Hendricks scored three goals for the Bruins, and Jarred Conner added another. Isaiah Bradley and Austin Gunkel each scored goals for the Rebels.
Anderson beat Central 5-0 on Tuesday.
Jay County beat Wapahani 5-2 on Tuesday, led by Colton McCombs, who scored three goals.
Delta lost 4-0 to Pendleton Heights.
New Castle beat Richmond 9-0 on Tuesday. Olivia Malott scored four goals.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Yorktown won the Muncie City Invitational on Tuesday with 29 team points. The Tigers’ Sarah Hazen won the race individually with a 21:28.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Yorktown won the Muncie City Invitational with 31 team points. Wapahani’s Macon Shroyer ran a 17:18 to win the race individually.
