Jay County beat Southside 6-5. Devon McNabb scored three goals for the Rebels, and Isaiah Bradley added two.


Central and Southside will kick off the Delta Sectional with a match at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will play Delta at 4:45 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals. The other semifinal will match Yorktown and Burris, also at 4:45 Thursday. The championship will be 11 a.m. Saturday.

The Jay County Sectional will start Wednesday with semifinal matches between Winchester and Randolph Southern, and Jay County and Union City at 5 p.m. The championship will be at 5 p.m. Thursday.

No. 22 Delta closed out a perfect Hoosier Heritage Conference season at 7-0 by beating Mount Vernon 5-0. Blake Wuthrich won 6-0, 7-5 at No. 1 singles for the Eagles.

Mississinewa stopped Burris 4-1. The Owls’ point came from Kevin Joe and Jameson King at No. 1 doubles.


Cowan defeated Blue River 25-13, 25-10, 25-8. Jessica Mac and Kristina Flowers each had eight kills for the Blackhawks, and Valorie Flick had 25 digs. Christina Hughes and Bryanna Graat each had four kills for the Vikings.

Union beat Shenandoah 22-25, 25-12, 25-9, 25-9. Courtney Kinnaman had 21 kills and DeAnn Kauffman had 20 for the Rockets.

Winchester beat Jay County 25-16, 25-19, 25-21. Delaney Miller had 13 kills and Payton Smiley added 12 for the Golden Flashes.
