GIRLS GOLF

Wes-Del lost 216-244 to Madison-Grant. Melanie Whitesel led the Warriors with 52.

Jay County beat Anderson 197-249. Maddison Baughn shot a 43 to lead Jay.

Winchester beat Centerville 183-229. Jill Morrison shot a 39 to lead the Golden Falcons, while Mackenzie Mehaffey shot a 40.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Blackford opened by beating South Adams 25-21, 25-12, 16-25, 25-19. Madison Crist had 13 kills for the Bruins, and Krysta Nickols had 16 digs.

WRESTLING

The Yorktown Wrestling Club is hosting a fundraising golf outing at 1 p.m. Aug. 26 at Muncie Elks Country Club. The cost is $200 per four-player team and features a Florida best ball format. The event will feature cash prizes for top teams and have various other contests. More information is available by contacting Rodney Morrow at 744-5749.
