Fourteen Cowan athletes were named Academic All-Mid-Eastern Conference. The cross country team had eight with Lizzie Davis, Kayla Lampke, Riley Johnson, Makayla Keating, Luke Hill, Logan Coffman, Calvin Furniss and Kyler Burch. Madisen Mangus, Kyanne Stewart, Jessica Mace, Mallory Bruner, Kellsie Mace and Allie Curtis made it from the volleyball team.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Daleville improved to 4-1 on the season with a 43-26 win at Blue River. Three Broncos scored in double figures. Breanna Brenner led the Broncos with 13 points. Jaime Roberts followed with 12 and Brynn Gooding scored 10. Gooding pulled down 11 rebounds, too, for the double-double. Jordyn Marshel grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds for Daleville.

Winchester blew out Northeastern 70-42 with the aid of an 18-6 second quarter after an even first. Ball State recruit Jill Morrison sank 14-of-20 shots and scored 34 points for the Golden Falcons.
