Frankton alum and former Shenandoah basketball coach Bob Heady will be honored prior to tip off of the varsity boys basketball game between those two schools Saturday night at Shenandoah. Heady was recently elected into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Heady coached Shenandoah to six conference titles, two sectional championships and a 1981 state finals appearances.
Cowan picked up its first win of the season with a 48-21 win against Seton Catholic. Makayla Keating led the Blackhawks with 25 points, and they outscored Seton Catholic 17-0 in the third quarter.
Wes-Del lost to Anderson Prep 38-21. Freshman Abby Rooker paced the Warriors (0-6) with 10 points and four rebounds. Teammate Haley Greer scored five points.
Southside fell to Tri 66-54. Hadessah Jackson scored 13 points in the loss, and Whitney Vance added 11.
