Maddie Gudenkauf had four hits and drove in four runs Tuesday to help Fort Collins High School’s softball team to a 12-3 victory over Mountain Range.
Gudenkauf had a pair of doubles among her four hits and Collins had nine as a team.
The Lambkins took advantage of seven errors by the Mustangs.
Jess Hargadine and Ashley Brock each added two hits for Collins (9-5, 3-3 Front Range League), while Blair Norris drove in two runs.
Autumn Anderson picked up the win.
She allowed nine hits, had five strikeouts and walked one.
POUDRE 9, FAIRVIEW 7 — The Impalas scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning en route to the victory.
Poudre (5-7-1, 4-3) had nine hits, two coming from Jordan Cosby who also had an RBI.
Sarah Johnson earned the win. She had six strikeouts.
FOSSIL RIDGE 15, HORIZON 4 — At Thornton, the SaberCats won their fifth game in a row, routing the Hawks.
Fossil Ridge (13-2,. 6-1), which is ranked eighth in Class 5A in The Denver Post coaches’ poll, has scored 10 or more runs in all five of those wins.
FREDERICK 11, WINDSOR 1 — At Windsor, Frederick put together a seven-run inning and pulled away from the Wizards.
Windsor was within four runs in the fourth when it had a runner thrown out at the plate.
Frederick then scored seven runs in the top of the fifth for an 11-0 lead.
VOLLEYBALL
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 3, LOVELAND 1 — At Loveland, the Lobos improved to 6-5 overall, 3-1 in the FRL with the victory.
HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 3, LIBERTY COMMON 1 — Heidi Friedrich had 11 kills and Tawna Sysum added 10 in the victory for Heritage Christian.
Mariah Green added 20 digs and six kills for Heritage (7-4).
