The Rocky Mountain volleyball team swept Fort Collins on Thursday night, 28-26, 25-23, 25-20.
The win finishes the regular season for the Lobos with a record of 13-5 (10-1 in conference).
The Lambkins finished the regular season with a record of 14-5 and 7-4 in conference play.
The victory gives Rocky a split of the conference title with crosstown rivals Fossil Ridge.
“The girls are just thrilled about that,” Rocky coach Glenn Gainley said.
Gainley singled out the play of setter Hanna Wiggins, Desi Klaer and Ellen Donnelly, his three seniors. Klaer had 13 kills, and Donnelly finished off the match with the final two kills.
Despite graduating eight players from a team that went undefeated in conference last year, the Lobos were still able to stay at the top of the conference.
“These girls bonded,” Gainley said. “They don’t win pretty, but they win. They’ve been a joy to coach.”
