EAU CLAIRE – Led by the winning 200 medley relay team of Corey Storm, Tyler Tanko, Daniel Roberts and Aaron Bink (1:52.04), the Panthers placed second with 243 points Saturday at the Santa Invite.

Garrett Richetto, Mitch Straub and Andrew Pitney placed second through fourth in the 200 freestyle to lead the Lumberjacks to a third-place finish at the Santa Invite.

Marty Loy Classic

FOND DU LAC – Nate Engle finished fourth at 160-pounds to lead the Stevens Point Area Senior High wrestlers to a a 12th place finsh at the Mary Loy Classic as the Panthers placed 12th in the team standings.

Wausau West’s Travis Hettinga pinned all four of his opponents en route to the 152-pound champinship and was voted the tournament’s most valuable wrestler.

The Warriors — ranked No. 1 in the state — won the team title witha whopping 284.5 points, well ahead of runner-up Hudson’s 191 and had three other champions, Bee Lor (106), Colin Baine (126) and Joe Umlauf (138).

Battle on the Fox

APPLETON – Scott Worlund (113), James Lassa (220) and Olie Voight (285) won championships to lead Pittsville to a fourth-place finish at the Battle on the Fox.

Eddie Kleinhenz (132) was second and Anthony Marten (120) finished third

Marshfield’s Kane Seubert won the 182-pound weight class to lead the Tigers to a 10th place finish in the 14-team event. Tristan Wilson placed third at 285 pounds, while Mitch Hertel (145) and Noah Gerde (106) placed fourth.

Almond-Bancroft/Pacelli’s Cole Warzynski placed sixth at 285.

ARCADIA Jeff Soppa (132) and Sam Lobacz (285) both finished second to lead Abbotsford/Colby to a 10th place finish at the Arcadia tournament.

Rapids Duals

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Jordan Scalice (145), Peyton Einerson (152), Drew Thompson (170) and Beau Thompson (195) all went 4-1 for the Raider as the team went 4-1 as well to finish second in the Rapids duals.

Tomahawk Invite

TOMAHAWK – A trio of champions, Kevin Zurfluh (106), Nate Flohr (126) and Austin Bellile (195) helped led Tomahawk to the team title at its own invitational.

Amherst was led by Josh Desotell’s runner-up finish at 182-pounds, while Josh Powers (145), Logan Hermsen (160) and Jamie Docha (220) all placed third.

Rosholt’s Dwight Groshek (145) finished fourth.

Port Edwards 73, Marion 65

MARION – Josh Schraeder scored 21 points to lead the Blackhawks to a key road victory over the Mustangs in Central Wisconsin Conference-10 action.

Port scored in double figures in all four quarters and dropped in 42 points in the second half alone.

“This was a great program win for us,” Port coach Dusty Rhodes said. “We went on the road and beat a good team that was undefeated in the conference. The guys worked hard for this one and we got consistent scoring in all four quarters and four players in double figures.”

Tied at 31-31 at the half, the Blackhawks held an eight-point edge in scoring in the second half to pull out the win.

Aaron Hoffman and Cole Drefahl scored 21 points apiece to lead the Mustangs.
