Hamse Abdule recorded a hat trick as St. Cloud Apollo thumped Sauk Rapids 6-2 in Central Lakes Conference boys soccer action Thursday night at Michie Field.
Said Gure, Isaack Ahmed and Leighton Lommel added goals for the Eagles (2-0 CLC, 3-1 overall).
Apollo goalkeepers Cooper Gray and John Robinson stopped six and three shots, respectively.
Niman Hassan and Kyle Olson both scored for the Sauk Rapids and Sam Hastings finished with 14 saves for the Storm.
Sartell 7, Fergus Falls 0
FERGUS FALLS – Kyle Erickson had three goals and one assist as Sartell (1-1, 1-2) defeated Fergus Falls in Central Lakes Conference play.
Brandon Schuchard added two goals. Jared Forst and Kellen Cameron each had one.
The Sabres scored six of their goals in the second half.
Skylar Gardner had four saves in net for Sartell.
ST. CLOUD TECH 2,
BRAINERD – Led by seniors Irvin Rivera and Austin Keller, St. Cloud Tech edged Brainerd on the road in Central Lakes Conference play.
Rivera scored just minutes into the first half while Keller added a second goal two minutes into the second half.
The scores along with five saves from Senior Andrew Eisenreich proved to be all Tech (3-0) needed to hold off the Warriors.
ST. JOHN’S PREP 1, WATERTOWN-MAYER 0
COLLEGEVILLE – The Johnnies got back to the .500 mark (2-2) with a shutout victory.
Robert Kim tipped in Prep’s goal at the 36 minute mark of the first half, with the assist going to Stephen Mead.
Caz Novak picked up his second shutout of the season, making five saves in the net for the Johnnies.
ST. JOHN’S PREP 9,
HILLCREST Academy 2
FERGUS FALLS – Clare Culligan scored five goals with two assists to lead St. John’s Prep in a nonconference win against Hillcrest Lutheran.
Eighth-grader Taylor Nydeen scored twice, Brittney Krebsbach added a goal (with two assists) and Gabriel Kolb scored a goal in the win as well.
Zoe Novak had a pair of assists as Prep took a 7-2 lead at halftime.
Leah Schellinger stopped six shots for the Johnnies, who had 18 shots on goal.
ST. CLOUD TECH 1
Tatum Peterson was finally able to put the Tigers on the board late in the second half at Husky Stadium, but Tech was unable to complete the comeback in Central Lakes Conference play.
MiLee Peavey had 11 saves in net for Tech. Beth Thurlow and Emma Whiteman had goals for Brainerd.

SAUK RAPIDS – Senior Nicole Partch scored a goal at the 35:50 mark of the first half and that was all Sauk Rapids needed in a Central Lakes Conference win over St. Cloud Apollo.
Classmate Kayla Bauer had the assist on the goal — her fourth of the season.
Olivia Stockinger had six saves in net for the Storm.
Liz Lowery had 12 saves for the Eagles.
Sartell 3, Fergus Falls 1
SARTELL – The Sabres scored three second-half goals against Fergus Falls on their way to their first win of the season in Central Lakes Conference action.
Sophia VanSurksum, Clare Minnerath and Katie Stuttgen scored the goals for Sartell (1-1).
Sabres goalkeeper Erin Deters had seven saves.
Brittany Kolman gave the Otters a lead with 16 minutes left in the first half.
