Callie Manthe’s 15 kills led Albany to a 3-1 prep volleyball win over St. Cloud Cathedral Tuesday night at Cathedral High School.

Albany won 21-25, 25-15, 25-18 and 27-25.

Kristin Buttweiler had 11 kills, Cassie Shaver added 21 digs and Sam Schlangen finished with three ace serves and 40 set assists for the Huskies (2-0 Granite Ridge Conference, 5-1 overall).

Jenna Januschka led Cathedral (0-1, 0-2) with 13 kills and 13 digs, Rylee Medelberg had nine kills and Sophie Harris chipped in 18 set assists.

LITTLE FALLS 3, FOLEY 0

FOLEY – Little Falls’ Noelle Kurowski and Laura Fregin each finished with six kills as the Flyers downed Foley 25-22, 25-14, 25-10.

Kurowski was a vital performer for Little Falls. She finished the match with seven digs for the Flyers and also had 11 straight service points in the second game and eight straight service points to kick off the third game.

Stephanie Wardarski tallied 11 of the team’s 19 assists to lead Little Falls.

Brainerd 3, Sauk Rapids 1

BRAINERD – Sierra Karls had nine kills and 22 digs in Sauk Rapids’ loss to Brainerd.

Game scores were 25-15, 19-25, 25-18, 25-14. Kaitlynn Christen had eight kills and Nicole Stedje added 21 set assists for the Storm (0-3 CLC, 1-3 overall).

WILLMAR 3, ST. CLOUD APOLLO 1

WILLMAR – The Eagles remain winless on the young season after they fell to the Cardinals (25-13, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21).

Hannah Havemeier had 10 kills and three digs to lead Apollo (0-2). Mel Gebhardt added 12 digs and eight kills for the Eagles.

MONTICELLO 3, ROCORI 1

COLD SPRING – Maggie Young led Rocori with six kills and 10 digs in a loss to Monticello.

Heather Buerman had four blocks for the Spartans (2-5).

BIG LAKE 3, ST. CLOUD TECH 0

BIG LAKE – Kylie Loesch had six kills and six assists for the Tigers who fell to Big Lake (20-25, 12-25, 20-25). Anna Olson added 10 digs and Kelsey Berg had six digs for Tech (1-1).

SAUK CENTRE 3, MINNEWASKA 0

SAUK CENTRE – Macy Weller led Sauk Centre in kills while Jena Klaphake led the Mainstreeters in set assists as Sauk Centre rolled over Minnewaska 25-18, 25-17, 25-12.

Weller finished with 11 kills, five blocks and six digs. Klaphake added 24 set assists for Sauk Centre (2-0, 6-0).

PIERZ 3, CROSBY-IRONTON 0

PIERZ – Bridget Bednar had nine kills and four digs to help Pierz to the 25-13, 25-6, 25-21 nonconference win.

Anna Welle added six kills and four digs for the Pioneers, Jessica Hawks had 11 set assists and Tiara Hopkins had eight digs.

S.C. CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 3, FORESTON 0

FORESTON – Toria Gillson finished with four kills, five aces and nine digs as the St. Cloud Christian School won its first match as a varsity program as a member of the Christian Athletic League.

Game scores were 25-18, 25-21, 25-14.

Stephanie Knutson had nine aces for the Warriors (1-1).

HOLDINGFORD 3, LP-GE 2

HOLDINGFORD – Holdingford’s Jena Volkers finished with 12 kills and 10 digs to lead Holidingford past Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 13-25, 25-18, 25-19, 20-25, 15-5.

Summer Storm and Alyssa Ohman each added eight kills and Amanda Young finished 32 set assists to aid the Huskers’ effort.

MELROSE 3, STAPLES-MOTLEY 0

STAPLES – Briana Schmiesing finished with seven kills and eight ace serves to lead Melrose past Staples-Motley.

Game scores were 25-8, 25-14, 25-8. Emily Goerdt had seven kills and 18 set assists for the Dutchmen (2-0).

KIMBALL 3, ROYALTON 1

KIMBALL – Breane Meierhofer had six ace serves, 14 kills and two blocks for the Cubs as they rolled to a nonconference win (25-22, 19-25, 25-22, 25-19).

In addition, Kimball’s Tiffany Kuechle had 10 assists and seven kills while Hollie Donnay tallied 17 assists.

MOORHEAD 3, SARTELL 2

MOORHEAD – Senior outside hitter Ashton Haider pounded 17 kills and tallied 12 digs, but it wasn’t enough as Sartell fell to Moorhead in a marathon contest on the road.

The Spuds dropped the first two matches before rallying for a 20-25, 24-26, 28-26, 25-23, 15-13 win.

Senior outside hitter Cassie Ross had eight kills and 29 digs for Sartell (1-1, 1-2) while senior setter Rachel Winter notched 30 set assists for Sartell.

EV-W 3, GF-W 2

WINTHROP – Eden Valley-Watkins (1-1) won Games 2 and 4 (25-17, 25-17), but lost in the crucial fifth game 15-6.

Baylee Lahr was 23-for-23 in her service efforts. She also recorded three aces and 33 digs for the Eagles.

Kaylee Forcier contributed 23 kills and 24 digs for Eden Valley-Watkins. Courtney Dilley added 10 kills and Holly Schumacher had 45 set assists.
