SAUK CENTRE – Sauk Centre stayed undefeated on the season at 19-0 overall and 10-0 in the West Central Conference with a 25-13, 25-13 and 25-10 win over Minnewaska Area Thursday night.

The Mainstreeters are ranked No. 4 in Class 2A.

Macy Weller led Sauk Centre with 11 kills, five blocks and two aces, Jena Klaphake had 34 set assists and five blocks, Katie Reitsma had 13 digs and Kendra Zenzen and Brianna VanWahlde each had eight kills.

PAYNESVILLE 2

PAYNESVILLE – Megan Schaefer was 18-for-19 serving, but the Bulldogs fell to Montevideo 19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 8-25, 13-15.

ROCORI 3, SARTELL 2

COLD SPRING – Morgan Koshiol had 17 kills and three ace serves to lead Rocori past Sartell.

Game scores were 25-14, 21-25, 25-16, 15-11. Ashton Haider had 16 kills and 17 digs for Sartell.

Heather Buermann added eight kills and five blocks for the Spartans (5-5 CLC, 8-10 overall).

BRAINERD 3, SAUK RAPIDS 0

SAUK RAPIDS – Kaitlynn Christen had six kills for Sauk Rapids in the Storm’s loss to Brainerd.

Game scores were 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Kari Hiscock added 12 digs and Nicole Stedje had 15 set assists for Sauk Rapids (2-9 CLC, 11-14 overall).

ST. CLOUD APOLLO 0

The Eagles suffered their eighth Central Lakes Conference loss in a home defeat to Willmar.

Mel Gebhardt had 10 kills for the Eagles (1-8 CLC, 2-18 overall). Caitlyn Pederson set up 16 assists for Apollo, who fell 25-14, 25-23 and 25-20.

B-B-E 3, MAPLE LAKE 0

BROOTEN – Becca Gruber finished with eight kills to lead Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa past Maple Lake 25-23, 25-12, 25-15.

Gruber was one of four Jaguars to notch at least seven kills. Halley Braegelman led Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (5-0, 16-4) with 18 set assists.

EDEN VALLEY-WATKINS 3,

EDEN VALLEY – Courtney Dilley had 10 kills to lead Eden Valley-Watkins past Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.

Game scores were 25-20, 25-21, 26-24.

Kaylee Forcier added eight kills for the Eagles (4-1 CMC, 13-7 overall).

KIMBALL 3, HOLDINGFORD 1

HOLDINGFORD – Seniors Breane Meierhofer and Laura Frank combined for 30 kills and 27 digs as Kimball held off Holdingford.

The Cubs (2-2, 8-11) dropped the first set, but went on to win 16-25, 25-8, 25-18, 25-21.

Meierhofer led Kimball with 21 kills and 17 digs while Frank added nine kills and 10 digs. Senior Tiffany Kuechle added 25 set assists for the Cubs.

Jena Volkers had nine kills and 12 digs for the Huskers (1-4, 12-13), Amanda Young had 19 set assists and 11 digs and Haley Huls had five kills and 14 digs.

ROCKFORD 1

ROCKFORD – The Rockets took the first set from the Pioneers but couldn’t repeat that win as they fell 25-21, 23-25, 11-25, 19-25 to remain winless in Central Minnesota Conference play. Rockford fell to 0-5 in the CMC and 6-16 overall.

LITTLE FALLS 3, BECKER 1

BECKER – Kendra Pohlman had 16 kills to lead the Flyers past the Bulldogs 25-20, 26-24, 19-25, 25-14.

Noelle Kurowski had 13 kills and six aces for Little Falls and Stephanie Wardarski had 39 set assists and 20 digs.

UPSALA 3, BROWERVILLE 0

UPSALA – Aimee Pelzer had 12 kills, 18 set assists and 14 digs to lead Upsala past Browerville.

Game scores were 25-18, 25-12, 25-19. Tracy Herzog added 10 kills, 10 blocks and 11 digs for Upsala.

ALBANY 3, MELROSE 2

MELROSE – Emily Goerdt had four aces and 14 kills for Melrose, but her team fell in the nonconference match.

Callie Manthe had 21 kills for the Huskies (15-5), Sam Schlangen had seven kills, 41 set assists, 16 digs and two aces, Cassie Shaver had 24 digs and Kristen Buttweiler had 14 kills and three aces.
