Prep wrestling: Two Rivers ranked No. 3 in poll


The Two Rivers wrestling team received a No. 3 ranking as a team in Division 2 of this week’s Wisconsin Wrestling Online rankings.

The Raiders were led individually by Paul Bianchi who was No. 2 in Division 2 at 106 pounds. Two Rivers additionally received rankings for Ty Pelot (No. 5, 113), Chris Yauch (honorable mention, 132), Brian Duerschmidt (HM, 182), Scott Skornicka (No. 7, 195) and Bobby Geiger (HM, 220).

Also in Division 2, Kiel was represented by Matt Halverson (No. 3, 285), Austin Field (No. 9, 182) Jay Wallace (No. 6, 145) and Tanner Woepse (HM, 113) while Valders had Stetson McCulley (No. 2, 138) and Brandon Brennan (No. 5, 220) on the list.

Like Valders, Manitowoc Lincoln had a pair of individual representatives as Zac Youngchild (No. 6, 132) and Jonah Mrozinsky (No. 14, 182) made the rankings in Division 1.

In Division 3, Reedsville received an honorable mention as a team as Colby Kasten led the way with a No. 2 ranking at 138 pounds. Also for the Panthers, Rene Mora (No. 9, 145), Grant Wedepohl (No. 6, 152), Elliott Ebert (HM, 160) and Andrew Kocourek (No. 7, 195) made the list.

Mishicot was represented in Division 3 by Weston Cracraft (No. 9, 120), Luke Finnel (No. 6, 126) and Jon Brendenmuehl (No. 3, 220).
