They’re called the Rowdies, the keepers of the Regis Jesuit student section so-to-speak.

“Basically our job is to get everyone pumped and everyone going for the game,” said senior Kyle Weatherbie.

The stands are always packed and students pay close attention to their Raiders on the field. But they also watch the clock tick down with an anxious excitement in the crowd. They’re waiting for the clock to hit zero. And when the 1st half ends, a crazy dance party begins.

“During half time normally a team, their fans will sit down. What we do we like to get everyone more pumped up,” senior George Kyriazi told 9News.

“We take so much pride in it. As long as we’re having fun and making sure everyone know our dance skills, we have a lot of energy we think we’re doing a good job,” said Weatherbie.

“You can just jump just nod your head. Do whatever, it’s all good,” said Kyriazi with a smile.

The song may change. The movement does not.

“After we score a TD and the dance party, those are the best 2 times of the game. It’s so much fun and the crowd gets so in to it. Probably why we’re the best student section in Colorado,” said senior Michael Bell.

The best part of this football tradition. It’s good. Clean. Fun.
