SUGARCREEK — It was a successful open to the season for area golfers as Ridgewood’s Tyler Davis shot a 5-over-par 77 to finish as the overall medalist and Coshocton finished second out of 18 teams in the Garaway Invite Saturday at the par-72 Willandale Golf Course.
Coshocton’s Patrick Brouse had the third best round of any golfer at the Invite, coming in at 7-over 79. The Redskins finished with a team-total of 344, only behind Garaway’s first team, who won the invite at 321.
Also for Coshocton, Gage Bosson finished at 82, Luke Sutton 87, Jake Glasure 96 and Sam Magness 99.
Ridgewood finished tied for 12th at 372. After Davis, Nick Blakely finished at 91, Nathan Hoffman 101, Sam Bucher 103 and Wesley Cochran 108.
Dover was third at 345. Wooster (350) and Garaway’s second team (354) rounded out the top five.
