Ben Brotz scored a pair as the Roncalli boys soccer team defeated visiting Kewaunee 3-0 on Tuesday.

The Jets hit the field strong early with Brotz notching his first goal in the fifth minute via a header off teammate Reed Waldhart’s cross. Brotz scored again in the 11th minute on an assist from Dean Waldhart.

One minute later Brotz returned the favor and assisted on a Dean Waldhart goal to build a three-goal advantage the Jets wouldn’t relinquish.

Roncalli (4-3, 3-3 Packerland Conference) outshot Kewaunee 14-9, although a pair of Storm strikes hit the woodwork in the final 10 minutes.

Zach Berres had seven saves in goal for the Jets to earn the clean sheet.

Roncalli travels to take on Wrightstown on Thursday.

Sheboygan Falls 4, Two Rivers 3

Leading 3-1 entering the second half, visiting Two Rivers allowed Sheboygan Falls to score three unanswered goals for the loss.

Two Rivers got on the scoreboard just six minutes into the game as Brock Gospodarek scored on an assist from Cameron Greene. Five minutes later Tyler Shallow made it 2-0 for the Raiders on an assist from Greene.

It took the Falcons three minutes to answer and make it 2-1, but Two Rivers’ Gospodarek scored his second goal of the game at the 27-minute mark on an assist from Greene to go into halftime with the two-goal advantage.

In the second, though, Sheboygan Falls scored just 30 seconds in and added another in the 67th minute to tied it up.

The Falcons’ game-winning goal came in the 75th minute with Greene making several late charges in an unsuccessful attempt to tie the game up.

The Raiders had 14 shots with Erik Wiegand in net making 14 saves.

Two Rivers (5-3, 4-1 Eastern Wisconsin Conference) plays at Plymouth on Thursday.
