Smyrna High School’s wrestling team finished runner-up Saturday in the 16-team Chattanooga Christian Challenge. MLK won the event with 165 points, followed by the Bulldogs with 160.
The Bulldogs had two champions in Kaleb Gonyea (126) and Keydexon Brown (182). Caleb Shoen (12), David Cloninger (132), Dillon Smudrick (170) and David Rangle (heavyweight) all finished runner-up.
Blackman 65, Ravenwood 47
The Blaze continued their dominant play on Saturday in the State Farm Classic. Darius Thomspon scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Blaze, who improved to 11-0. Quindell Cousin scored 11 points, and Alec McMiller netted 10.
Blackman will play Eagles Landing Christian of Atlanta on Thursday in the Above the Rim tournament in Hickman County.
Cannon Co. 71, Cookeville 64
Abbey Sissom scored a career-high 43 points with seven 3-pointers to lead Cannon County to the Sun Drop Romp title in Warren County.
Cannon County (13-1) trailed the Lady Cavaliers by 16 points with 2:43 left in regulation and came back to force overtime. Teammate Madison Walkup added 10 points.
Rossview 61, Smyrna 51
Brianne Alexander scored 20 points to lead Smyrna, while Kayla Hunt, Treasure Hunt, Jasmine Neal and Allie Bolton netted six each. Smyrna faces Riverwood, Ga., Thursday in the Peach State Invitational in Atlanta.
Shelbyville 45, Siegel 43
Paris Lawson led the Lady Stars (10-3) with 19 points, and Amber Daniels had 14. Siegel plays Tennessee High in Knoxville on Thursday.

MTCS 38, Community 23
The Lady Cougars took the championship in the Page Middle School Christmas Classic. Abby Buckner scored 20 points, and Cammie Adams netted 10.
