Shore Regional: Q&A with coach Mark Costantino

Shore Regional head coach Mark Costantino and his Blue Devils will look to get back on top of Shore Conference B Central this season, after going 6-4 last season.

Q: On the offensive side of the ball, do you think that you guys might open things up a little more this season with QB Matt Muh?

A: Absolutely, when you have a kid with that talent you have to. We have a bunch of talented receivers and half backs that can catch the ball this year, so I think you have too.

Q: Defensively, what scheme are you running this year, and do you like what you have seen so far?

A: We are running a 4-4, and we are a little behind the offense this year. We are still working on some personnel decisions, but it’s good because we have kids fighting for jobs everyday.

Q: To close things out, what do you think needs to be most improved as a team heading into the season?

A: Our offensive line has to start to gel. We have great kids, they are big and working hard day in and day out. Also our defense as a whole has to get better in finishing tackles, and some other things need to get better heading into the season.
