St. Joseph Central Catholic’s Connor Dudley rebounded from a disappointing 75 on Monday to shoot a 1-under 71 on Tuesday as he defended his title at the New Bremen Cardinal Invitational played at Arrowhead Golf Course in New Bremen.
As a team, SJCC finished third at 327. Minister was first at 312 and Russia took second at 322.
“It was nice to get Connor going again,” Crimson Streaks coach Tom Dudley said. “Connor does a great job of pulling us along and now we just need our two, three and four guys to get lower scores.”
Brett Michael and Aaron Burns both carded 84s for SJCC, while Adam Swint added an 88.
“Those guys are capable of being in the high 70s and low 80s,” coach Dudley said. “And they know that because we talk about it with them all the time. If they want to get to Columbus, we got to get the gap between them and Connor to be smaller.”
Dudley recorded six birdies during his winning round.
