Denver-It was the first walk off hit EVER for Andy Heider.  The senior couldn’t have picked a better time.

With Cherry Creek tied with Highlands Ranch in the bottom of the 8th inning, Heider delivered a rope to center that brought home the winning run.

Creek won the game 3-2 and will now play Regis Jesuit on Saturday morning.  The Raiders beat Legend behind a strong effort from Pete Bayer.  He threw a complete game 2-hit shutout to keep the Raiders alive.  The winner of the Regis and Creek game will play Legend for the state championship.

In 4A Broomfield won again. They remain undefeated headed in to Saturday’s play. Air Academy also advanced but the Kadets will have to beat the Eagles twice to win the title. Broomfield only needs 1 more win.

In 3A Lamar handed Brush its first loss of the tournament. Lamar will play Eaton in the morning with the winner taking on Brush for the title.  The Reds knocked off Holy Family 12-2 to advance.
