Stewart named new MTCS baseball coach

Middle Tennessee Christian School football coach Brian Stewart has been named the school’s baseball coach.

Stewart replaces Alex Roberts, who resigned after the season and has accepted a teaching position at Eagleville.

Stewart has coached baseball in the past along with football. He was 109-56-1 in four years at Jackson Christian. His 2007 baseball team finished Class A state runner-up to Friendship Christian. That came after JCS won the Class 1A football championship over Friendship in Stewart’s first season as the head football coach.

Stewart was a pitching coach on this year’s MTCS baseball team. MTCS baseball assistant Jamie Carver was named the team’s associate head coach.
