Kelsey Dietrich (No. 2 singles), Eryn Binder (No. 3 singles), and Tiffany Colston and Katie Schroeder (No. 1 doubles) each won in straight sets Tuesday as Port Clinton’s girls tennis team opened play in the Sandusky Bay Conference with a 5-0 shutout of Edison.

“This was a good win,” Redskins coach Lindsay Smith said. “Kelsey and Eryn played very well and are both settling into their positions nicely.”

Binder dropped only two games.

Morgan McGlothlin won at No. 1 singles while Lexi Fodor and Allison Long rebounded from a first-set loss at No. 2 doubles.

“Lexi and Allison worked hard to push their match to a third set,” Smith said. “They got in the groove and played well in the third set.”
