Girls Soccer

Lehigh 2, Gateway Charter 1: Brittani Mosher led the way for the Lightning (5-7) by recording 23 saves on 33 shots defensively. Misa Scudder and Marjorie Roman scored both goals for Lehigh.

Cypress Lake 5, St. John Neumann 1: Goalie Michele Peterson recorded 18 saves for Neumann (4-8-1).

Boys Basketball

Dunbar 61, Lehigh 57: Kendrick Pope scored 11 points for the Tigers (8-3) and Joe Williams also scored in double figures with 10 and also dished out five assists on the night. B.J. Edwards scored a game-high 23 points for Lehigh.

Mariner Invitational Tournament

Estero 48, Riverdale 39: Margens Desire scored a game-high 17 points to lead the way for Estero (5-7). Malcom Smith scored 12 for Riverdale.

Island Coast 85, North Fort Myers 47: Caleb Darrett led the way for the Gators (7-5) by scoring a game-high 33 points and teammate Angel Inchausti scored 24 as well. Darrett also recorded seven steals to stand out defensively along with Sonel Mathurin, who grabbed 11 rebounds.

Port Charlotte 63, Cypress Lake 37: No Stats Available

Mariner 67, Canterbury 32: Rick Moore scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the way for the Tritons (7-5) with Rodney Hunter chiming in with 11 points.

Girls Basketball

Tift County 70, LaBelle 47: Andrea Lutkenhaus had a team-high 19 points and Valerie Beltran grabbed 14 rebounds defensively for LaBelle (4-9).

Fort Myers 48, Charlotte 47 (2OT): With 3.3 seconds left in the second overtime, freshman Cam Boland sunk a two-point shot to win the game for the Green Wave (12-4). Lauren Gillingham led the way with 14 points along with 11 rebounds and teammate Jordan Lentz scored a team-high 18 points.

Canterbury Cougar Classic

Canterbury 38, Cape Coral Christian 35: Alexis Sewell led the way for the Cougars with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Keona Olmstead also stood out with 15 points for Canterbury.

Evangelical Christian 64, Baker 12: Nicole Gonzalez scored 16 and Cara Cook added 14 as ECS improved to 2-13 on the season.

Boys Soccer

Gateway Charter 3, Lehigh 2: DeJean Charlton scored all three goals for the Griffons (8-5-1) and Matt Ponto stood out defensively with 11 saves.

Cape Coral 3, Fort Myers 2: The Seahawks (13-1-2) overcame a 2-0 deficit to win the game behind Juan Cano’s two goals and Camilo Avendano’s two assists. After tying the game, Avendano scored the game winning goal to put Cape up 3-2, with the assist coming from Cano.
